Conan O’Brien Enters Comic-Con on The FURY ROAD

War Boys! Witness Him! Beloved talk show host Conan O’Brien is at Comic-Con this week, hosting his show each night of the convention, and decided to make as big of an entrance as possible. For the cold open of his first Comic-Con episode this week, Conan and partner Andy Richter decide to drive down to San Diego from Los Angeles for Comic-Con this year.

What follows is an amazing spoof/tribute to Mad Max: Fury Road as Andy cruises down to San Diego in his best Immortan Joe getup. Conan is not one to be outdone though, as he takes to the roof of the vehicle, double guitar flamethrower in hand, and rides on in Doof Warrior style. Who wouldn’t?

This is the reason why I love these guys. Salsa Stark: https://youtu.be/4M5KE44xluoFront Page edit: Thank you guys, it feels amazing to hit the front page, I've been trying and it took me 3 weeks to do it, thank you. Thank you Flying Spaghetti Monster, thank you Conan for being the most amazing dork there is, thank you Taig Team for releasing a new jailbreak and let me tether my TMobile unlimited data and finally thank you all the guys that upvoted and commented, just wanted to let you know I always upvote everyone that comments in my posts, even shitty people.

The bit is simply perfect due to Conan’s trademark brand of ridiculous humor as well as some wonderfully apt geek culture cred. Obviously Conan and crew know what the most popular part of the spring’s runaway hit film was, and knew just the audience that would appreciate the parody. While the initial reveal of the two in costume driving the giant truck of amplifiers is an excellent gang, it is the break in the middle as they try to figure out where they are and comment on not being able to hear the GPS over Conan’s raucous guitar solo that hits the whole joke home.

Check out the rest of the episode on Conan’s Team Coco site (Our fearless leader Chris “Papa Bear” Hardwick is one of the guests) and be sure to check out each of Conan’s Comic-Con episodes every night of the convention. Yes, even on the weekend.

What did you think of Conan’s opening? Let us know in the comments below!
