Comedy Playlist: A LATE LATE SHOW Home Invasion, And Brian Stack Bids Farewell To Conan

There’s nothing like a fresh start, a fond farewell, and a proper introduction. The playlist I’ve lovingly constructed for you today will not only fill you with immense joy, but also possibly give you a case of the sniffles. We bid adieu to a man that’s been a loyal contributor to Conan O’Brien’s late night insanity for almost two decades. We learn that strangers aren’t always dangerous on The Late Late Show with James Corden. AND you meet Mudville, two musically-inclined gents who live by the words of The International Playboy Anthem. Enjoy!

It seems like yesterday that Late Night with Conan O’Brien was just starting to impress us with the sketches and characters we still embrace today. Brian Stack, who has been Conan’s trusty foot soldier through three late night iterations of the show, has been a significant contributor to many of these beloved classics. He’s been writer, actor, and editor through the rating highs and the post-Tonight Show lows. Brian will be moving on to be a part of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, so it was only fitting that Conan should honor his talented friend with a hilarious montage of his often bearded characters. Joe Galliano, I think I’ll miss you most.

James Corden has only been hosting The Late Late Show for two weeks now, but boy has he made an impression. A band of unsuspecting house mates received the surprise of their lives when Mr. Corden knocked at their door accompanied by his late night crew this week. Not only was the perfect strangers’ home turned into The Late Late Show’s temporary hangout, but world-renowned actor Jeff Goldblum dropped by and showered them with gifts. Dibs on being the next guinea pig in future late night experiments. Hmmm… I may need to move.

Do you like to play? The boys of Mudville do. Minhdzuy Khorami and Greg Smith have combined their love of board games and jams in this playboy rap that separates the drifters from the hard core gamers. “It’s fun gettin’ into trouble!”

Who was your favorite Brian Stack character of all time? Spill it below.
