If you’re anything like me, then you’re no stranger to long-winded video game sessions and can clock in 10+ hours of game time in one sitting like it’s nobody’s business. Yeah, that’s right. Go ahead, pop that collar. NOW, AFTER YOU’RE DONE MAKING THIS ABOUT YOURSELF: how about channeling those awesome insomniac powers of yours for a good cause?
Team Nerdist will be doing exactly that come October 25, as part of our annual 24 hour Extra Life live-stream. We’ll be spending an entire day gaming to raise money for ill children in need of a little support, and will have a series of special guests stopping by to join us in the fun. This will be Nerdist’s second year participating in Extra Life, but many of us have been participating in this event for the last three years.
Remember how we promised you guys last year that we’d be better equipped for Extra Life in 2014? Well, now you get to be the judge of that and spend hours telling us if our current set up is better than last year’s–you know, when we pointed our Macbook Pro webcam at the TV (hey, you’ve got to start somewhere). Most importantly, we’ll be able to laugh about the good ol’ days in the company of amazing people, while playing amazing games, for an amazing cause that will help today’s youth. Sounds like a win/win/win situation to me.
We’re hoping to raise at least $20,000 this time around and would love for you to join our team so you can assist us on our mission. Any donations will be tax-deductible and all the proceeds will go to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
You can watch us do the damn thing over on our Twitch channel, or just join the team right here. Hope to see your lovely face there.

My favorite part is the last hour when everyone is completely loopy. So much fun. 🙂
Nice! I have been looking for a team a join!
Welcome aboard, Z33k!
