Clone Clubbers Rejoice: ORPHAN BLACK Renewed for Season 4

It’s a great day to be a fan of genre television featuring ladies that kick ass, eh? First, CBS announced a series pick-up for Super-Girl yesterday, and just prior to that we saw iZombie get a season two over on the CW. This morning’s daybreak greets us with a perhaps even more exciting renewal: that of Orphan Black for a fourth season. Break out your best dancing shoes because we’re about to have ourselves a clone club dance party to rival that of season two!

Now, before we go all hyperbolic emotional intensity on you, let’s set forth the deetz: according to a press release, a fourth season of the Tatiana Maslany-fronted (several times over) conspiracy drama has been given the greenlight to craft another 10 crazy cloned-out episodes for BBC America. And we already know one thing for sure: it’ll air in 2016. Sweet relief, we won’t have to wait too too long for more!

The cast of this current season includes (of course) Tatiana Maslany as the multifaceted sestrahood like no other, with Ari Millen tackling the newly introduced male clones of Project Castor. And if the series knows what’s good for it, they’ll have all the amazing actors from this season back: Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Skyler Wexler, Kevin Hanchard, Evelyne Brochu, Kristian Bruun, Michiel Huisman, Josh Vokey, Zoé De Grand Maison, and season three guest stars Justin Chatwin, Ksenia Solo, and Kyra Harper. (Although to be frank we could do a little less with Dr. Coady because she’s a BAD MOM IF EVER THERE WAS ONE.)

OK, so we good now? Permission to cut a rug, bust a move, and feel REALLY REALLY GOOD about everything that’s going on? OK THEN LET’S PARTY!

What do you think about the season four renewal of OB? Have any thoughts on this season so far? Leave ’em in the comments!
