Clone Club! Get in This Post There’s a New ORPHAN BLACK Image Inside of It!

Times they are a-changing, clone club: we’ve got a new set of brothers coming into the sestrahood fold, and it looks like the creators of Orphan Black won’t make us wait all that long to introduce one to the other. And we’ve got photographic evidence to prove it! Ready? Are you ready? Are you sure? WE’RE NOT SURE YOU’RE READY.

OK here it is:

Yes: that is the terrifying scarred clone we saw in Marian Bowles’ basement. His name is Rudy!

Brought to us all by the kind souls at Entertainment Weekly, the BBC America series (and co-creator Graeme Manson) have also provided a few insights for the forthcoming third season. And no, Ari Millen will not be doing a young Sean Astin impression.

“The boy’s name is Rudy,” explained Manson. “And obviously Rudy—or Scarface, as we call him in the writer’s room—is not Mark, who is the other Castor clone that we’ve known before. So immediately that poses a bunch of questions for us: How are they different? How are they the same, these brothers? And what the heck is Mark up to? Is Mark a traitor? Is Mark undercover? Like everyone else on Orphan Black, Mark has divided loyalties.”

But don’t you fret for a second — this is still a show about the sestras. Just with, y’know, a bit of added intrigue! “It’s fantastic that we’ve got this new diverse villain in the form of clones—villains or whatever they may turn out to be.” There’s a full-blown, very interesting interview over at EW‘s site so go and read it all there!

So, OK. Who else is losing their gourd over this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
