Chris Pine Thinks WONDER WOMAN Can Make the World Less “Violent”

Chris Pine might not know if Wonder Woman will be flying her invisible plane or wielding her golden lasso when her stand-alone film comes to theaters, but he does think she’ll be able to help make the world less “aggressive” and “violent.”

Pine was on Jimmy Kimmel Live discussing the new Wonder Woman film—in which he will play Steve Trevor, Wonder Women’s “better half,” opposite star Gal Godot—and he thinks this super hero movie has a chance to be different than others because it has a female hero leading the way.

“I feel like with men at the helm, it’s always this kind of revenge cycle thing” Pine said, “What I think is really lovely having a woman at the helm of something like this, is just by virtue of her being a woman there’s a great deal more compassion and love at the center of the story.”

While Pine was probably just playing coy when it came to not knowing what the invisible plane was (everyone knows that, right? Like, everyone), he was reluctant to let any information slip, though he did say the film would take place during World War I and is full of “lots of fun stuff.”

Check out the entire interview, unless you are a huge fan of the Mexican food you can get in England. Then you should probably cut out before the end of the segment.

Wonder Woman is scheduled for a June 2017 release, but Godot will make her Wonder Woman debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this year.
