At this point in everyone’s life, you’ve likely seen more than a few cool, nerdy wedding proposals and engagement announcements; the couple that emulated Doc Brown and Marty McFly in the poster for Back to the Future II springs to mind as a favorite (although we also loved the man who proposed to his girlfriend in front of the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation—just for actor Wil Wheaton’s expression alone). But now a pair of Marvel fans might have outdone maybe all of those others.

At Salt Lake City Comic Con this week, Marvel Studios’ own Captain America and Agent Peggy Carter—actors Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell—ended up more or less participating in a marriage proposal. A Black Widow cosplayer by the name of Kelsey Jenkins was taking part in a photo-op with Atwell and Evans at the convention, when suddenly her boyfriend surprised her (and very clearly the actors as well) when he dropped down on one knee to propose, in full Captain America regalia no less.

As touching and beautiful as the bride-to-be’s reaction was, it was maybe Hayley Atwell who looked the most shocked in the photos, although co-star Chris Evans gave her a run for her money in that department. Later on, Atwell took to Twitter and said of the proposal, “It was one of the most moving and beautiful things I have been witness to. Congratulations to you both. May you have a blissful future.” That Agent Carter is a class act all the way.

The soon-to-be Mrs. Cap, Kelsey Jenkins, posted the rest of the photos on her won Twitter account, and they’re equally priceless. Awwww…..ain’t love grand?
