The second season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dramatically changed Skye (Chloe Bennet). After the first season ended, Skye became a highly trained agent before exposure to the Inhumans’ terrigen mists gave her seismic powers. Skye also discovered that her real name was Daisy Johnson, and she learned things about her parents that she probably regretted knowing.

For the upcoming third season, Bennet’s character will be much closer to her comic book counterpart. That means that Skye is now calling herself “Daisy” and she will have a much shorter haircut. Bennet recently revealed that she felt anxious about cutting her formerly long hair.

“It was crazy,” said Bennet. “I cried a little bit, to be honest, and definitely had some anxiety. I should have brought tequila with me. 100 percent.”

The final look for Bennet’s incarnation of Daisy will differ slightly from her comic book appearance. But that was by design, according to Bennet.

“The comic book version of Daisy Johnson has very short, Miley Cyrus-esque hair,” explained Bennet. “We wanted to stay true to the comic book character fans love; I wanted to please them but also make sure there was still some movement and length and sexiness in the hair.”

“I’m in love with it,” added Bennet. “And I think for the character, it is going to be awesome.”

This season, Daisy will be assembling a group of superpowered individuals as part of her Secret Warriors team. In the Secret Warriors comic, Daisy Johnson a.k.a. Quake was also a member of the team. However, it’s not currently known which of the Secret Warriors (if not all of them) will be joining the show for its third season.
