The CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA Holiday Special Trailer Is Here

It’s been just over a month since The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina arrived on Netflix to cure all of our witchy needs. Though presented in the streaming service’s typical binge format, with all episodes arriving at once, it was already picked up for a season two before the first aired, meaning the cast was still filming new episodes as the first were released. We knew from the beginning that a season two was happening, but showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had another trick up his sleeve for fans: a holiday special! Now, the first full trailer for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale, has arrived.

We saw how Satan-worshipping witches celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving in earlier episodes, so it makes sense that this is their version of Christmas: the halls decked with lighted pentagrams, a yule log in the fireplace to stave off demonic Santas, and voodoo gingerbread dolls.

“Sabrina, is this what Christmas is like being a witch?” asks Sabrina’s mortal friend Roz.
“Not usually… except kind of?” Sabrina responds.

Here’s the full plot summary for A Midwinter’s Tale:

The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice: The longest night of the year—when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors—both welcome and unwelcome. You never know what might come down the chimney…

Sounds like a frightfully good time to us! The holiday special hits Netflix on December 14, just enough time to brew up a holiday potion and get ready for our return to the Spellman mortuary and all who dwell there.
