Check Out Three New DOCTOR STRANGE Motion Posters!

The all-seeing Eye of Agamotto opens once more! Enchanting our Wednesday with a series of motion posters featuring the stars of Marvel’s Doctor Strange! But if Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme isn’t enough for you, we’ve got plenty of other magic in today’s Movie Morsels, including the latest set videos from Spider-Man: Homecoming, our first look at a new Jumanji cast member, and much more!

Doctor Strange

By the deathless Vishanti! What sorcery is this?! Marvel has captured not one, not two, but three of the stars of November’s Doctor Strange and enshrined them in magical, mystical motion posters… We’ve seen and heard a good bit lately about Tilda Swinton’s Ancient One, Mads Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius, and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Karl Mordo, so it’s great to see Benedict Wong’s Wong and Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer getting some love here, as both are expected to play an important part of Stephen Strange’s first big-screen adventure.

Spider-Man: Homecoming
Meanwhile, in another corner of the Marvel Universe, Tom Holland is busy earning his paycheck on the location shoot of Spider-Man: Homecoming. I can’t help but think that part of the reason why fans are so easily able to shoot so many videos and photos of this set in particular is because Marvel wants the whole world to know they’ve got an actor who really can flex himself into some of Spidey’s iconic poses. In any case, I’m grateful to @AboutTomHolland for sharing so much of this material…

Jumanji

Dwayne Johnson is both superstar and super publicist. After giving us our first look at actors Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black, as well as his own always buff self, in the Jumanji reboot, Johnson is now sharing the first photo of his co-star Nick Jonas from the film’s jungle set.

“Officially welcoming my guy @NickJonas to #Jumanji, says The Rock. “Great dude, great positive energy and very talented. He’s gonna kill this role like I kill things with my bare hands. The jungle awaits. The adventure continues. And ironically the one who sings the most on set is Jack Black.”

Fences

August Wilson’s Tony- and Pulitzer Award-winning Fences is one of the most acclaimed stage dramas in Broadway history, as well as a seminal part of African-American theater. If the first trailer for its film adaptation is any indication at all, this Denzel Washington and Viola Davis starrer will win its own share of accolades when it opens on December 25…

Desierto

Last but not least today, Gravity father-son creators Alfonso Cuarón and Jonás Cuarón are tackling yet another genre (the horror film) with Desierto. It sees The Walking Dead‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing heavy once more opposite his hapless co-star Gael García Bernal. Here’s the first trailer for the Jonás Cuarón-directed Mexican thriller, which looks like it’ll give us a welcome break from some of the American horror fare we’ve been seeing in theaters lately, while providing a much-appreciated layer of understated social commentary…
