If you’re a true geek (and why would you be here if you weren’t?), then you probably have a vast array of clothing, posters, cups, and more to represent your geekdom. There’s nothing like showing off your favorite geek gear to truly let the world know where your passion lies. And if you so happen to be a video game aficionado, you may want to scope out LeSportsac’s new X Nintendo collection of bags, totes, and backpacks released in cooperation with the video game company.

Slated to arrive in the United States this fall, the X Nintendo collection from LeSportsac features a backpack, carry bag, and tote that are literally overflowing with references to Nintendo’s flagship franchise, Super Mario Bros. A close inspections shows green turtle shells, golden stars for points, mushroom heads for power-ups, white ghosts, red bricks for jumping and climbing, and much, much more.
The real highlight for me is seeing the smaller personal bag in the shape of Nintendo’s handheld gaming system, the Gameboy. The bag can be seen outfitted in the system’s classic gray, complete with the greenish panel screen, black arrow pad, gray Select and Start buttons, and red A and B buttons. There’s even stitching for an On and Off switch at the top lefthand corner of the item. It makes me want to dig my old Gameboy out of mothballs and play a round of Super Mario Bros. myself.
The only thing missing from the announcement is what the expected sale price for the bags will be. But let’s be real, when have we ever let a thing like monetary concern stop us from splurging on must-have items like these?
