Check out this 20 Minute Video of BATTLEBORN Gameplay

We were able to get our hands on Gearbox Software’s upcoming first-person shooter Battleborn during our time at E3, but what about the rest of the world? Thankfully, the developer released a 20 minute gameplay video earlier this morning, showcasing a little of what to expect once the title hits shelves this winter.

The first few minutes of the video (which you can check out above) give a little backstory to the Borderlands-esque MOBA.  From the voiceover, we learn that the title is set in the distant future, where a batch of heroes band together to save the last star in the universe, Solus, from a dark force set on destroying it.

We’re introduced to 5 (of 25) Battleborn who lead the charge on an icy planet. Amongst the rag-tag gang of heroes are: bow-wielding Thorn, clone soldier Oscar Mike, teleporter/sabre-wielding Phoebe, many-armed Orendi, and last but not least, Caldarius, who is ready to slice and dice.

After showing how the five engage in combat during the mission, the video is rounded out with a few more characters. There is also a healer mushroom named Miko, shield-bearing Boldur, gentleman sniper Marquis, Rath (who apparently isn’t a vampire), and Montana who’s here to kick ass and chew bubblegum (but is all out of bubblegum).

If you’ve been keeping track, we’ve only seen about half of the heroes so far, but we’re sure to hear more on the rest before the game finally launches on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Does the gameplay look interesting to you? Who is your favorite hero so far? Let us know in the comments below.
