Check Out The Official Trailer and One Sheet for Guillermo del Toro’s CRIMSON PEAK

After sneaking a peek at stunning images from Crimson Peak, the upcoming gothic romance from fan favorite and Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro, audiences now have their first look at the official trailer and one sheet for the highly anticipated movie due out in October 2015. Set to a slowed down cover of “Red Right Hand,” Crimson Peak features Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam in the house from Hell as Hiddleston seduces Wasikowska much to the dismay of his sister (Chastain) and a very concerned Hunnam.

Featuring a stunning set, slightly bizarre period costumes and spooks and spectres aplenty, the trailer also exudes a bizarre and subtle sexuality. In fact, del Toro himself described the film as “kinky and violent.” Well, I declare! Watch for yourself below.

What do you think of the first look at the movie in motion? Is it everything you’ve dreamed of and more? As a longtime fan of del Toro’s, I love that he’s returning to period work and ghost stories. Even though the supernatural has become the latest tired trend in horror, if anyone can make it new, inventive and compelling, it’s him. Plus, Crimson Peak has been rated R for “bloody violence, some sexual content and brief strong language.” A horror film for adult people? Yes, please. Sign me right up!
