Love it or hate it, thereâs no denying Interstellar was one of the most unique films of 2014. Even those who claim that Christopher Nolan missed the mark have had to qualms about recommending Nolanâs latest others as itâs exceedingly rare to get a grand science fiction film like this made in todayâs Hollywood. So, of course, given the filmâs reception among the community, itâs no surprise everyoneâs trying to dissect as much of it as possible, and thatâs what todayâs latest nugget is all about: a gallery of original concept art by Steve Burg.
Interestingly, very little appears to have changed from the art that was originally drawn to what we eventually saw on screen. The Endurance looks pretty much exactly as it does in the film, all the way down to its interior design. If thereâs one thing you can so about Nolan, itâs when he has a vision, he often sticks to it.
It didnât please everyone, but Interstellar remained true to its mission from beginning to end if the concept art is any indication. Of course, it also helps the Interstellarâs managed to score a nice chunk of change at the box office, which will of course mean no problems for Nolan when he attempts to get another original film off the ground in the future.
Interstellar is in theaters now.
