Check Out a Teaser for TOMORROWLAND’s Upcoming Super Bowl Spot

Back in 2003, no one could have imagined Pirates of the Caribbean, a PG-13 Disney film based on a theme park ride, would ever become the multi-billion dollar franchise it is now, with a fifth film currently set on the horizon for 2017. But somehow, magically, it is — and now it’s time for Disney to test the theme park adaptation waters again with Tomorrowland – the latest film from director Brad Bird, writer Damon Lindelof, and stars George Clooney and Hugh Laurie.

With the Super Bowl upon us this weekend, Disney’s planning its first marketing push for the film since debuting a teaser trailer and extended footage at New York Comic-Com last October. But it’s not Sunday yet, so to get audiences ready, the studio has released an all new trailer tease to get folks excited for what’s to come:

Based on the ten seconds of footage seen here, it would appear we’re going to get to explore the world of Tomorrowland in greater detail come Sunday. At the moment, all we’ve seen of the city is the single shot featured in the original teaser – even the extended New York Comic-Con footage didn’t actually explore Tomorrowland as much as it displayed some of the secret society’s tech out in the “real world.”

We have no doubt the upcoming trailer will be full of action and excitement, but we also hope it sheds more light on the film’s plot. Right now, we know there’s a secret place, a curious girl, and George Clooney… but we want more. Much, much more.

Tomorrowland hits theaters May 22, 2015.
