For those unaware, 2015 marks the 10 year anniversary of the Forza series. We already knew we were getting Forza 6 Motorsport sometime this year, but it was revealed during Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2015 press conference that the title was set to launch on the Xbox One September 15. With such a milestone reached, Microsoft officially unveiled a limited edition console that will be launching alongside the game.
The console, which you can check out in the video above, sports the same blue color as the gorgeous Ford GT displayed on the cover of the game, and features a unique racing-inspired design, with racing sound effects attached to both the power and eject button. As they explained in the video, the system also displays the release date for the first game in the franchise and a special badge in commemoration of the 10th anniversary.
In addition to the 1 TB console, you’ll also score an Xbox One controller in the same color. It sports a racing stripe down the center, a rubberized diamond grip (reminiscent of a steering while), buttons that are blue inlaid with black, titanium-colored triggers (to match the GT’s titanium accents), and because it is a new Xbox One controller, will feature the new 3.5 mm stereo-jack, fine-tuned bumper buttons, and wireless update capability. Whew! What a beauty!
The bundle will of course come with a download code for the full game. If you were hoping for a physical copy of the game, you’re out of luck. Pre-orders are available now at Microsoft stores and select retailers.
