Melting chocolate dome desserts are all the rage on the internet, but this one contains special Star Wars surprise for May the 4th. To celebrate Star Wars Day, this chocolate dome is carefully melted to reveal a cool-as-Hoth interior, filled with frosty ice cream and a white chocolate Millennium Falcon.
No doubt the ship is fast, but youâll have to eat quickly before this bucket of bolts melts away to the dark side. Enjoy this dessert on Star Wars Day and may the fourth be with you!
Star Wars Chocolate Dome
Millennium Falcon ingredients:
-1 Star Wars Millennium Falcon Silicone Mold by Kotobukiya
-3 ounces white chocolate
-Black food gel dye
Dome ingredients:
-1 (5-inch) balloon
-7-9 ounces dark chocolate
-Gold luster dust
Youâll also need:
-Vanilla ice cream
-1 cup chocolate syrup
Melt the white chocolate over a double boiler or at 10-second intervals in the microwave. Add a small amount of black food gel dye and stir until gray. Spoon into the Millennium Falcon mold and place in the freezer for 10 minutes until solid.
Melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or at 10 second intervals in the microwave. Blow up a clean balloon and tie closed. Dip the balloon into the chocolate, rolling up the sides to get the height you want. Set chocolate side up in a cup and place in the refrigerator until solid, about 20 minutes.
Carefully pop the balloon and with a clean pastry brush, dust the outside of the chocolate dome lightly with gold luster dust. Set aside.
Heat up the chocolate syrup until itâs hot to the touch.
Ready a plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, place the chocolate Millennium Falcon on top, then cover with the dome.
To serve, pour heated chocolate syrup over the dome until it melts.
