Captain Talk

Tonight (Friday) at 8 p.m. ET,  Epix will be releasing The Captains, a documentary  directed and produced by William Shatner in which he catches up with each of the actors that have played a Captain on Star Trek.  So far, the doc looks like a couple of old guys talking about how awesome it is to be rich and famous and how they just realized it, all to the wonderful harmony of elevator music.  I hope it’s more epic than the clip.  Yeh, I went there.

If you don’t have a subscription to Epix head over and get a free trial.  (Editor’s note: Some cable systems are offering a free preview of Epix all this weekend, including a few airings of The Captains as well as Star Treks II, IV, and the 2009 reboot, Kick Ass, Iron Man 2, and others, so you may be able to see it that way.  Verizon FiOS and Charter cable are carrying the preview if you’re a subscriber to those systems)

    It’s on my DVR. 🙂

  2. Kedj says:

Just watched it, I felt REALLY weird watching it. It was really interesting hearing the Captains discuss everything they did but everyone, with the exception of Scott Bakula, were on a completely different wavelength. Still would recommend it to any fans of Star Trek.

  3. Lee says:

It doesn’t matter because Patrick Stewart will always be Commander Bullock to me

  4. Amanda says:

That elevator music is killing me, but I love all things Star Trek. I’ll definitely sign up for that free trial.

  5. Tom Steele says:

he catches up with each of the actors that have played a Captain on Star Trek. — That’s a lot of actors. Hey, where’s Kelsey Grammar???

  6. I know it is the end of an era, but I’m glad we are celebrating the glory of the past, but I don’t recognize these two. Are you SURE they were shuttle captains?

  7. Bobby G says:

I don’t know about elevator music, but I do feel like I need to put a tip in a jar.
