Marvel fans are now one step closer to the beginning of Phase 3 of the MCU as Captain America: Civil War has finished principal photography. Civil War (some call it Avengers 2.5) will pit hero against hero when an incident forces the government to step in and attempt to take regulatory control over the world’s superheroes. The film will also mark the MCU debuts of The Black Panther and the Amazing Spider-Man. Cast and crew were ready to celebrate, and did so with the help of Imperrii, a bar and restaurant in Leipzig, Germany.
The photos below caught some of the festivities, as well as cast members Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther) and Emily VanCamp (Agent 13).
While not in any of the above photos, Scarlett Johansson was in attendance, as her signature was on the Imperrii menu signed by the cast.
This celebration is on the heels of last week’s D23 presentation, where Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie presented the first footage from the film. If the reaction it received in Anaheim is any indication, the celebration in these photos will be well deserved.
Captain America: Civil War, directed by the Russo Brothers, will be released May 6th, 2016
