Bryan Singer Reveals Ancient Egyptian Tomb in New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Photo

While fans might be losing their minds over the look of Oscar Isaac’s titular character in next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, (does no one remember Quicksilver from X-Men: Days of Future Past? Have you have learned nothing??), director Bryan Singer continues to release cool new pics from next year’s movie via his Instagram account on a regular basis. And it’s quite possible that this latest photo addresses at least one of the issues fans have had with Apocalypse since the first photo of Oscar Isaac in costume was released: his size.

The newest photo, straight from the set, has Singer standing in front of what looks like a very large ancient Egyptian tomb, presumably that of En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse’s actual name, for the less comic book inclined out there). Judging from its size, whomever is entombed in there is probably pretty darn big. In the comics, one of Apocalypse’s many, many abilities is size changing; when he was first introduced, he had a relatively normal human height, and over time it was shown that he can grow to a larger size. He could also do pretty much anything he wanted, like turn his limbs into weapons and control technology. I’m not saying all of his comic book abilities will come into play, but there’s a good chance his character will get bigger, especially since Oscar Isaac has said that a lot of his character will be completed with special effects.

In the Instagram photo Singer has the hashtags #raidersofthelostark and #notallgreenscreen, his way of letting fans know that he’s doing this one the old school way, at least as much as humanly possible in this day and age. That should come as no surprise; Singer is such a huge fan of Raider of the Lost Ark, after all, and he named his production company Bad Hat Harry Productions after a line in Steven Spielberg’s classic Jaws.  Check out Singer’s latest set photo below, and let us know what you think in the comments below:
