A quartet of new character posters for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For are making the rounds, showing off the “heroes” of the second Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller joint.
Up top, you can see Josh Brolin’s Dwight, sporting a different face from the one he was wearing in 2005’s Sin City (where he was played by Clive Owen). Dwight’s story provides the title for the sequel, as the tough-talking, gun-toting anti-hero rushes to save old flame Eva Green (300: Rise of an Empire, Casino Royale) from her abusive husband.
Then there’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Johnny, a banged-up gambler on a mission to take down one of Sin City’s biggest criminals. That never really goes well for anyone involved.
Finally, we’ve got another look at two returning characters in a pair of illustrated posters: Jessica Alba’s Goldie Nancy is back, along with slow-thinking murder machine Marv (Mickey Rourke).
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be out August 22nd.

This sequel is about 5 years too late for me to really be interested in it. Maybe I’ll go back and re-read the graphic novels, and re-watch the first film, and see how I feel then.

If you’d watched the first movie or even( god forbid) read the original graphic novels you’d know the Jessica Alba NEVER played Goldie, she in fact plays Nancy Callahan, Jamie King on the other hand did Play Goldie in the first film and possible the second film. Little more Proof reading goes along way and prevents nerd-anger explosions.

The idea of seeing the new “Sin City” has brought nothing but excitement to me. Thank you for additional information on this new film. However Jessica Alba plays the character of Nancy Callahan, typos happen to everyone.

The Nancy poster doesn’t look right at all. It looks like a bad photoshop filter job. The Marv poster looks more inline with Millers art from Sin City. Also not to be that person on the internet but, Alba’s role is Nancy not Goldie.
