Bring Home FORTRESS MAXIMUS in HASBRO’S Latest SDCC Exclusive

San Diego Comic-Con is just over a month away. If you aren’t already planning your sleep shifts for the Marvel panel in Hall H, you are probably figuring out how in the world you are going to snag some of the awesome exclusives. Hasbro is not going to make that task any easier with their latest announcement.

Reported by the SDCC Unofficial Blog, the toy company will be releasing an SDCC-exclusive version of Fortress Maximus. Retailing for 179.99, the massive Autobot comes with an updated paint job as well as its master sword (not available with the retail version).

Maximus will be able to transform into robot mode, as well as battle station and city modes. His head will transform into its own robot Cerebros. From what I can tell, it will NOT be able to search for and locate any of your lost X-Men toys.

The main question I have is which of the modes will be used the most? With battle station mode, you can have your other Transformers play around it, making it the easier way to play. If you want to get a good arm workout in, use robot mode and pretend to make it fly. Regardless of how you choose to “maximize” your purchase, this beautiful looking figure is a must have for any die-hard Transformers fan.

So what do you think? Are you ready to shell out the time and cash for Fortress Maximus? Or are you reading this already in line for Hall H? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
