Bonus Clip: Doctor Who At The NTAs

Hey, look, the Doctor’s back!

The National Television Awards were held in London on Wednesday night, and the opening was written by Steven Moffatt and starred Matt Smith as your ol’ pal the Time Lord, offering to lend host Dermot O’Leary a hand after he oversleeps and misses the show.

And here’s that opening sequence:

Unfortunately, Doctor Who didn’t win the Best Drama award this year, bringing its five-year winning streak to an end, and Matt Smith was beaten out by the venerable David Jason for Best Performance. Can’t win ’em all.

  1. Tori says:

I’m almost sure this opener was better than winning any awards. We all know how kickass Doctor Who is. It may as well be exempt from nominations as it’s just not fair to anything else. On any network. On any continent.

Dermot O’Leary & Matt Smith together on screen? Swoon!

  3. Abby says:

That has to be better than an Emmy or Golden Globe Awards intro that ever has or ever will be done haha

  4. Deltus says:

    Absolute win.
