Bob Ross’ Voice Invades XCOM 2 with New Mod

Video games are just more fun with mods…and Bob Ross.

Though the critically acclaimed strategy game, XCOM 2, has only been out in wild for a mere three weeks, modders are already doing their thing. The modder tdc733, for instance, has introduced the Bob Ross voice pack, which adds the beloved The Joy of Painting host’s sweet vocals to the game. Yes, it’s hilarious, but it’s also oddly relaxing. It could prove to be advantageous during the most tense times, or it could simply make you more prone to dropping your guard because you feel so safe listening to Ross’ melodic voice. Watch the mod in action in the clip above.

Even when you have a slip up out in the battlefield, the artist is there with encouraging words, “we don’t make mistakes, we have happy accidents.” Other gems include, “fantastic things will happen, I think you’ll enjoy that,” when you’re about to do something spectacular.

If Ross’ voice just isn’t doing it for you, the same modder also released two more voice packs, one featuring Arnold (Arnie) Schwarzenegger and another one of Kylo Ren’s idol, Darth Vader. Switching between all three packs could prove be a fun way of changing up the mood while you’re facing the extraterrestrial onslaught.

Will you be adding the Bob Ross voice pack to your adventure? Or would you rather have Arnold by your side? Personally, I wouldn’t mind having Vader’s voice pushing me forward through my noble quest of defeating the alien occupation. Which other actor’s voice would you want to be added through mods?
