BLACK MIRROR Trailer and Episode Titles Tease a Chilling New Season

Black Mirror season 4 is on its way, and Netflix has given us a bit of a taste of what we can expect to come in everyone’s favorite (but often terribly unsettling) anthology series. Each season is usually a pretty short one, and it looks like this upcoming season will be no different. Season 4 will have six episodes, and we can’t wait for the stories we’ll uncover this season.

In addition to the trailer, Variety has released the names and the stars of the each episode. Here they are in alphabetical order:

  • “Arkangel” stars Rosemarie Dewitt, Brenna Harding and Owen Teague and is directed by the one and only Jodie Foster
  • “Black Museum” stars Douglas Hodge, Letitia Wright and Babs Olusanmokun
  • “Crocodile” stars Andrea Riseborough, Andrew Gower and Kiran Sonia Sawar
  • “Hang the DJ” stars Georgina Campbell, Joe Cole and George Blagden
  • “Metalhead” stars Maxine Peake, Jake Davies and Clint Dyer
  • “USS Callister” stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson and Michaela Coel

Each episode has been written by series creator Charlie Booker (except for “USS Callister”, which he co-wrote with William Bridges), so you know that means the stories are going to be that classic, Black Mirror strain of unsettling and eerily prophetic looks into the ways modern technology is shaping (and often destroying) our world.

This doesn’t give us a ton to go on, but based on this teaser it doesn’t look like we’ll have another episode that is a (mostly) happy story with a happy ending like last season’s adorable “San Junipero.” Of course, it’s hard to tell with only brief flashes into each episode, but since “San Junipero” has been the only happy episode of the series, I wouldn’t count on encountering another so soon. Regardless, it looks like this will be another amazing season, and we can’t wait to watch when the new episodes hit Netflix later this year!

What did you think of the teaser? What are your predictions for this season of Black Mirror? Tell us in the comments!
