This Saturday, November 28, is Local Comic Shop Day. This is a new event that calls attention to independent comic book specialty stores across the country, celebrating their role as “pop culture fire-starters”. Considering how much of current pop culture is based on comics–from films, to television, to you name it–I think the label “pop culture fire starters” is pretty darn accurate. Over 385 participating local comic shops are part of this event, each of which carrying exclusive items as part of the celebration.
As part of Local Comic Shop Day, publisher Black Mask Studios is releasing three exclusive items: two hardcover volumes and one box set, each containing three single issue comics and two hardcover collections.
