In the celebrated tradition of celebrities reading mean tweets about themselves, Bill Nye has booted up his Twitter to take the heat.

Ostensibly to promote the Kickstarter project looking to fund a documentary about The Science Guy, Bill reads his tweets to endure a different kind of hate on social media than say, a Kim Kardashian probably would. It’s not very personal. Instead, Nye has to deal with the avalanche of controversy that unfortunately comes along with publicly and forcefully standing up for the understanding of evolution and climate change.

Still, it seems like Bill handles the hate pretty well, even if he doesn’t deserve it for standing up for science. I mean denying climate change…
