BIG HERO 6 Animated Series Scores Original Cast Members and More TV News

If you were already looking forward to the Big Hero 6 animated series, then you’re about to be even more satisfied with your care. It turns out much of the original cast from the film is making the jump to TV. Learn who’ll be back in today’s TV-Cap, and while you’re here you can see teasers for season four of Vikings, get the first official look at Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events, and more.

Small Screen Adventures. When Big Hero 6 comes to Disney XD for its turn as an animated series, it will feature some voices from the animated film. Here’s who’s coming back: Scott Adsit (Baymax), Stan Lee (Fred’s dad), Jamie Chung (Go Go Tomago), Maya Rudolph (Aunt Cass), Genesis Rodriguez (Honey Lemon), Alan Tudyk (Alistair Krei), and Ryan Potter (Hiro). Wasabi and Fred will have different voice actors; Khary Payton and Brooks Wheelan have taken on those roles, respectively. Really, they had me at Adsit. I couldn’t imagine anyone else voicing Baymax, a.k.a. the best robot ever. The new series will arrive in 2017. [The Hollywood Reporter, Image: Disney XD]

Being Strong. The Defenders has made another cast announcement: Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing will be joining the crossover series on Netflix. [Slashfilm]

Live Like Jack. Remember Jack Bauer’s swank home in season one of 24? It’s up for sale in Encino, California. The estate also has claims to fame via CSI and Beverly Hills, 90210. The home can be yours if you have four million or so dollars, but a CTU job doesn’t come with it. See photos of the house at Variety.

Looking Snazzy/Scary. Dolph Lundgren’s Arrow character will make his debut in the next episode of the series on November 9. He plays Konstantin Kovar in “So It Begins,” and he’s looking fierce. See additional pics at TVLine.

Walking Dead Weaponry. When you’re trying to survive in a world ravaged by walkers, you’ll use whatever weapon is at hand. It might be a little DIY like Lucille, but even those creations get the job done. Kendall rounded up the 10 best weapons we’ve seen in The Walking Dead here at Nerdist.

Who Would Win. When you have the chance to talk to Mads Mikkelsen, you ask him a key question: Who would come out triumphant in a fight between Sherlock Holmes and Hannibal Lecter? Dan Casey got an answer in the above video, bless him. [Nerdist]

All the Teasers. Vikings comes back to finish out the second half of season four on November 30. History shared six character-centric promos with IGN that touch on the biggies: Ragnar, Lagertha, Rollo, and more. What do you make of them? [IGN]

Off the Clock. Workaholics has been busting butt on Comedy Central for over six years, but the series is coming to a close. The upcoming seventh season will be the final one for the Mail Order Comedy sketch group. [Deadline]

Meet the Count. Some unofficial photos of Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events have made their rounds, but now Netflix has given up the goods. A new teaser for the series, debuting on January 13, shows off the character’s intimidating countenance and temperament. The best part? The description of the video: “Meet the star of a new Netflix series telling the story of a very handsome actor and three selfish and ungrateful orphans who refuse to give him the enormous fortune their dead parents left behind.” Perfect. Psychic Thoughts. Thursday night’s Supernatural put Sam and Dean Winchester on a case with a horrifying twist. Read my recap of “American Nightmare.”
