Bethesda Announces THE ELDER SCROLLS VI and Mobile Game at E3

If it feels like it’s been an eternity since the last game in The Elder Scrolls saga, it’s because the better part of this decade since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim captured our collective imaginations. The Elder Scrolls Online has also helped tide us over, but now, Bethesda has finally confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI is in development. At the very end of Bethesda’s E3 2018 presentation, it was announced that The Elder Scrolls VI will be released after Starfield, another new single-player game that is also without a release date.

This teaser is about the full extent of what we know about the next game in the series. But there is something new on the horizon for fans: The Elder Scrolls: Blades. According to Bethesda, Blades will be a massive first-person rpg for mobile devices that will have console quality graphics. Utilizing touchscreen controls, players can tap to move and the combat system will respond to their specific movements and timings.

Players will also have the option to create their own characters, as well as a range of abilities and spells to use beyond simple melee combat. It was also noted that the entire game can be played in portrait mode. There will be three primary modes in The Elder Scrolls: Blades. In The Abyss, players will travel through a seemingly endless dungeon. Players can challenge each other in The Arena. But The Town will give the players a chance to chart their own adventures as they rebuild and upgrade their towns after returning from exile. Players will even be able to visit each other’s customized towns.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades will be available for free this fall on Google Play and the App Store. However, Bethesda also hinted at plans to bring the game to other platforms, including high end VR on PCs. Are you excited about The Elder Scrolls VI and The Elder Scrolls: Blades?
