Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson Hit the Runway to Announce ZOOLANDER 2

Well that’s one way to make a ridiculously good looking announcement. Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) completely stole the show during Valentino’s Fashion Week runway event at the Jardin des Tuileries today, strutting their stuff down the catwalk to officially announce Zoolander 2 — which has been rumored off and on for the past few years. Yes! Bring on the Blue Steel.

The two stomped down the runway — Ben in a Night Butterflies brocade suit with a hand-embroidered overcoat and Creeper shoes and Owen in a silk Continent print Pajama suit with Double Cashmere Overcoat and Open Sneakers — to the tune of The Human League’s hit “Don’t You Want Me”, and it was glorious. Among those sitting in the front row were Kate Mara, Nicky Hilton and Cara Delevingne.

The duo also met up with Vogue Magazine editor Anna Wintour backstage to discuss their runway walk plans. According to Stiller, it’s always good to keep things simple. Hansel on the other hand wants to hover instead of walk, to help the environment. It looks like she approved.

Hansel and Zoolander’s fabulous return to the runway revealed that the sequel to their 2001 satire of the wonderful world of male models is definitely a go, and according to Paramount Pictures, is set to hit theaters February 12, 2016. It wasn’t too long ago that we reported that the upcoming title was to start shooting in Rome this Spring.

The Stiller-directed film will star Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Christine Taylor and Penelope Cruz. Justin Theroux co-wrote the script with Stiller, which sees the ridiculously good looking male model duo attempt to reinvent themselves and reenter the fashion world.
