Behold the RICK AND MORTY #11 Convention Variant Cover (Exclusive)

Wubba lubba dub dub! While Rick and Morty fans may find themselves sadly staring at their calendars, eagerly awaiting the faraway return of their favorite sci-fi TV show, there’s another way to get your fix of the Rickstaverse: comic books. Oni Press’ ongoing Rick and Morty series provides a monthly dose of concentrated silliness to the face. (If you hold it up to your ear, you can almost hear Morty saying, “Aw geez, Rick!”) Now, Oni Press is rewarding those who make the trek to WonderCon later this month with a special convention exclusive cover, which we are revealing for the first time. Though the cover isn’t exclusive to Wondercon, it is only available at the Oni Press booth.

Illustrated by Erica Hayes—who is actually a storyboard artist on the show—the cover showcases a playing card of a very intense-looking Summer and Jerry, putting on lipstick and shaving respectively. I don’t know about you guys, but I would love to get my hands on a whole deck of cards featuring the Rick and Morty gang.

Writer: Pamela Ribon
Artist: Marc Ellerby
Colorist: Ryan Hill
Letterer: Crank!
Oni Press Convention Exclusive Variant Cover: Erica Hayes

Here is the official synopsis:

“READY PLAYER MORTY– Rick takes Morty to a High School Simulation planet that allows the player to accelerate his experience straight to a diploma in just one day*. Rick repeatedly kills Morty’s character, forcing him to restart in more and more vicious (and sometimes illegal) HS experiences–until Morty does things the way Rick wants and finds himself on the brink of intergalactic war. But ultimately Morty will be Morty, no matter what universe or scenario. Meanwhile, Jerry and Summer stumble upon one of Rick’s unattended experiments and end up body-switching! Summer must find a way to get back into her body before her dad ruins her reputation or her mom rounds second.”

The exclusive variant cover will first be available at Wondercon in Los Angeles, CA from March 25-27, and will cost $10.

What do you think of this exclusive cover? Will you be picking it up?
