BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD, DARIA, and More Return with MTV Classic

If you’re old enough to remember the captivating catchphrase, “I want my MTV,” we’ve got good news for you. To celebrate the network’s upcoming 35th anniversary on August 1, MTV is bringing back the ’90s in full force with MTV Classic.

This isn’t just some weekend marathon of such adored MTV shows as Beavis & Butt-head, Daria, Aeon Flux, Run’s House, Pimp My Ride, Cribs, Jackass, Punk’d, Wonder Showzen, and Clone High. THR reveals MTV is fully converting their sister-channel VH1 Classic into MTV Classic, which will screen the above shows and more ’90s nostalgia-inducing entertainment around the clock. According to the tantalizing teaser below, this mega makeover will also include a panoply of iconic music videos from Britney Spears, Missy Elliot, Foo Fighters and NSYNC.

This time-tripping transformation kicks off at 6 a.m. with MTV Hour One, a re-broadcasting of the pioneering first hour of MTV that aired backed in 1981. So set your alarms if you want to relive a massively important moment in pop culture history.

From there, Beavis & Butt-head, Daria, and Aeon Flux will air in prime time spots Monday through Thursday, while 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. will be dedicated to Run’s House, Pimp My Ride, Cribs, Jackass, Punk’d, Wonder Showzen, Clone High and other yet-to-be-revealed titles. Friday nights will bring back MTV’s concert series like MTV Unplugged and Storytellers. And be ready to lose your weekends to full-seasons of such addicted reality programming as Laguna Beach, Road Rules and The Real World.

Basically, prepare to surrender the rest of your summer to MTV Classic and all its alluring nostalgia. Resistance is so 2015.
