BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Trailer Gives the Castle the Spotlight

Beauty and the Beast is a tale as old as time because it is a classic love story of two unlikely people coming together. But part of what makes this particular romance so memorable is that magical setting where it takes place: an old and beautiful castle full of talking candle holders and teacups. It is that wondrous world that takes center stage in the new international trailer for Disney‘s upcoming live-action adaptation of its classic and beloved animated film, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.

Shorter than the full U.S. trailer we got last month, which showed a whole lot more of Stevens’ Beast and his blossoming relationship with Watson’s Belle, this international look at the film focuses more on Belle’s entrance into the castle and just how special it really is, even far beyond its monstrous master.

Don’t worry, though, there are still plenty of shots of that fading rose, one of the most famous symbols in all of cinematic history, and of the two main characters iconic dance in the ballroom. Because even when we’re already well familiar with a tale as old as time itself, and don’t actually need to be sold on seeing the movie, there are still certain things we need in a trailer.

You’ll be able to return to the castle when Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on Friday, March 17, 2017.
