“Battlestar Galactica” Coasters, Because Viper Pilots Never Leave a Ring

We try to cover all things of the nerd variety here, but having the folks at Nerdist News out there hunting down stuff in which you might be interested is really going to pay dividends. Take today’s find: Battlestar Galactica coasters.

Yes, Battlestar Galactica coasters. As in the little things on which you put your coffee cup or beer mug so as not to leave an unsightly ring… oh, you know what coasters are. Yeah, them. They’re made by Quantum Mechanix (QMx), the same folks who made the Serenity model and the Battlestar Galactica Top Gun stein we’ve featured here before. Take a look at these things: the official Colonial seal, in 3-D. And for $39.95 for a set of four, it’s not that expensive to let your friends and other visitors know you’ve hung with Adama and Starbuck… or that, at least, you liked the show. You can sign up for the preorder waiting list now; preordering will start in second quarter 2012.

Now, if you follow the Nerdist News crew at their Facebook and Twitter pages, you’ll get alerted to stuff like this first. You should really be following @NerdistNews on Twitter and you should Like the Nerdist News Facebook page. Need another reason? They were on the scene at Toy Fair 2012, and they have a list of their top four and a gallery of the best stuff at the fair this year. We’ll be alerting you to some of what the newsletter and social media sites are covering, but you can find out firsthand, too. Oh, wait, you HAVE signed up for the newsletter as well, right? Good. You can’t go wrong by following all the different tentacles of the Nerdist empire.
