BATMAN’s Movie Murder Montage

“No one’s gonna tell you nothin’. They’re wise to your act. You got rules. The Joker, he’s got no rules. No one’s gonna cross him to you.”

When Salvatore Maroni says this to Batman in The Dark Knight, we all know what he means. Batman won’t kill anyone, the Joker will. Although not adverse to violence, we accept that our Caped Crusader draws the line at taking a life. It’s one of the personal codes he holds dearest.

It is certainly a principle to admire, just so long as you ignore all of the people Batman has straight up murdered in his movies.

YouTube user Mr. Sunday Movies has put together a montage of all of the bodies Batman has on him in cinema. It’s…..it’s a lot more than you probably realize. Just this week I had a debate about whether or not Batman killed Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins (this conversation really did take place) when he refused to save him. Well, after watching this video it’s kind of tough for me to defend Batman’s “No-Killing” policy because it seems like a lie.

One thing is clear, Michael Keaton’s Batman really didn’t hold back when it came to not killing. After watching Superman seem totally indifferent to all the deaths he contributed to in Man of Steel, I am starting to worry if setting my moral compass to a bunch of super heroes is the way to go.

What other superhero is secretly as destructive? Further ruin my faith in the comments section below.
