BATMAN V SUPERMAN Gets the Hot Toys Treatment with New Figurines

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice does not come out until March 25 of next year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start buying cool stuff from the movie now. Hot Toys, the leader when it comes to adult collectibles, has released the first images from the BvS line of sixth scale figures.

Batman

Batman comes with three interchangeable mouth and eye expressions, as well as four batarangs, his grapple gun, what LOOKS like an “anti-alien” weapon. Also, if the trailer is to be believed, his ever trusty Bat-Branding Iron. If you order the special edition, you also get a sniper rifle (I think it’s a long distance grappling gun like the one he used in The Dark Knight Returns. I truly hope it is).

Superman

Superman’s figure comes with four sets of hands. That makes sense since he doesn’t really need gadgets like a branding iron. His heat vision will do that for him. The special edition comes with an LED Kryptonite fragment. That’s right, you can weaken your action figure, but it will cost you a little more.

As an added bonus, if you pre-order both figures, you will receive Batman’s Tech-Cowl to display.

You can check out alternate views of the figures in the gallery below. If I were to choose a winner based on the figures alone, I would have to go with the Man of Steel. Batman’s costume seems a little too bulky to put up much of a fight. Since these are the first release prototypes, I hope that is something they go back and fix.

So what do you think? Will these new Batman v Superman figures be welcome additions to your collection? Or has Batfleck not yet earned your respect? Let me know on Twitter or flash the Bat-Signal into the comments below.
