There’s a vacancy at A&E Networks, and Bates Motel is set to fill it with a bevy of psychotic tendencies starting March 3rd.
A&E announced the premiere date today during the winter tour of the Television Critics Association, where the network explained that evolution of Norman Bates’ creeptastical tendencies will be at the center of the season. “The evolution of the Bates family and dives head first into Norman’s waning ability to stay in denial about what’s happening to him, and the lengths he will go to gain control of his fragile psyche.”
“After a blissful summer of closeness with his mother, living within the safe confines of home and the Bates Motel, Norman’s fears about what really happened with Blaire Watson resurface and Norma questions what really happened. Forced to look at the truths about Norman for the first time, their deeply intricate relationship continues to evolve,” the network explained in a press release. And while turning for comfort from Norman’s half-brother Dylan, Norma unexpectedly triggers a jealousy within Norman that â we’re going to go out on a limb here and say â doesn’t end well for anyone.
Additional details revealed during the panel includes teasing the return of Caleb (the family’s estranged brother and uncle, played by Kenny Johnson) and newcomers Kevin Rahm, Tracy Spiradakos, Joshua Leonard, and Ryan Hurst arrive at White Pine Bay. We’re sure Norman won’t have a problem with any of these disruptions in his life and everyone will live happily ever after. Emphasis on the “live” part. (Har har har…)
