Marvel’s New AVENGERS Game Announced in This Amazing Teaser

If you follow Marvel on Twitter or Facebook, you probably saw the recent post teasing an announcement this morning. With such an enormous universe of television shows, movies, and games, all of our minds were reeling at what news they’d be dropping. Well, the wait is finally over! This morning, Marvel released the above video via the below tweet:

The details in the video are pretty sparse, but the basic news is indeed fantastic: we’ve got several Avengers games coming to us made by Square Enix, Eidos-Montreal, and Crystal Dynamics. If those studio names aren’t familiar to you, the games they’ve worked on should be. They are the teams that have brought us games like Deux Ex, Tomb Raider, and Final Fantasy XV. So while we don’t know exactly what to expect from this new Avengers game, the impressive team behind it means we’re likely in for a completely amazing game.

This is being called a multi-game deal, so while it’s unclear when we’ll see the first game and how many there will be, the teaser trailer makes it look like there is quite the sprawling story to unfold here. It will be interesting to see who exactly makes an appearance in the game, but the game certainly hints at appearances from Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, and the Hulk. It’s also unclear where the game will fall on the timeline of the Avengers films, but either way, it sounds fantastic.

So while we’re waiting for more info on this game, we’ll just have to get more and more pumped for the release of The Avengers: Infinity War, which releases in theaters May 4, 2018.

What do you think of the teaser? What would you like to see in an Avengers game? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
