There’s only one thing Marvel fans seem to have to say every time a new poster, magazine cover, or trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is released: Where in the world is Hawkeye? Just yesterday, we got five new stylish posters for the film, and Jeremy Renner’s down-to-Earth marksman and family man was nowhere to be found. But now, at long last, Clint Barton has received the attention he deserves from the movie’s directors the Russo Brothers, who have given us the all-Hawkeye poster for the movie we deserve.
That’s how you go from “no Hawkeye” to “all the Hawkeye.”
We first saw this hilarious poster at CBR, and it is was originally created by artist BossLogic on Twitter. Obviously it caught the Russo Brothers’ attention, but why? Did they simply love how well done it is? Are they having some fun with how much fans are freaking out about Hawkeye’s inscrutable absence from all of the film’s promotional work? Or does this poster secretly give away something huge about the movie? Like maybe how Hawkeye is the only one who can save the universe?
If it turns out Thanos’ one weakness is a well-placed arrow, Avengers 4 could just be a three-hour shawarma feast where all the other superheroes of the galaxy talk about how lucky they were Hawkeye was there all along.
