Arcade Fire’s First Trailer for New Film, REFLEKTOR TAPES, is Beautiful

While on tour for their latest album Reflektor, indie-darlings-turned-mainstream-superstars, Arcade Fire invested 100-percent in a holistic audio-visual experience by filming the recording and touring processes. Directed by the fantastic Kahlil Joseph (Shutup And Play The Hits), Reflektor Tapes (out Sept. 24) seems like it will be an artful look at the band’s journey, complete with interviews, concert videos, behind-the-scenes and personal footage, plus plenty of silly tomfoolery.

According to a press release, the entire band said the following quote: “There were parts of the Reflektor tour where I think we, Arcade Fire, came the closest in our careers to putting on stage what we imagined in our heads. We were insanely lucky to have Kahlil Joseph documenting from the very beginning.”

For any huge fans out their, you will also be stoked to know that the film contains a previously unheard song, and the band have released a new music video for “Porno” to accompany today’s announcement. Check it below.

If you haven’t seen any of Kahlil Joseph’s previous work, I highly recommend that you do some exploring today—his involvement is reason enough to be excited for this movie. Reflektor Tapes will get its theatrical release on September 24.
