You don’t get cast in the role of Lois Lane in big budget Hollywood movies if you aren’t supremely talented, so it should come as no surprise that Amy Adams can sing, dance, and cry on demand–even if you ask her to cry about a condiment.
Adams, whose new movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened this weekend, joined Jimmy Fallon for a round of “Box of Microphones” on The Tonight Show, where each mic has a different voice effect to it. Adams did her best Rihanna, singing “Work” while sounding like Thanos with a horrible cold, and Fallon did Justin Bieber‘s “Sorry” with his microphone set to mimic Alvin and the Chipmunks. The two of them then did a duet of “You’re the One That I Want” from Grease, with the mics constantly changing.
The highlight of that segment though had nothing to do with singing; it was Adams’ doing her best Rihanna dance moves from her seat.
Her singing and dancing abilities weren’t the only skills Adams showed off however, as she also gave The Tonight Show audience a look at her ability to cry on demand, a talent her young daughter apparently gets a huge kick out of.
Yes, that’s genuinely awesome how quickly and out of nowhere she was able to cry over hot sauce, but when they were talking about closing down the Sriracha plant I really did get emotional, so maybe let’s not make fun of a very serious and important topic like that.
