After spending the last few weeks being voted upon by viewers, the first set of series orders from the latest slate of Amazon Studios pilots has been announced, and one of them is going to make some people very happy.
The After, from ÂThe X-Files creator Chris Carter; Bosch, the cop drama starring Titus Welliver and based on Michael Connellyâs bestselling book series; Mozart in the Jungle, a dramedy about the behind-the-scenes going on of the symphony based on the memoir of Blair Tindall; and Transparent, a dark-comedy about an L.A. family with boundary issues have all been ordered to series and will debut sometime in late 2014 or early 2015.
The first two of these orders, The After and Bosch, mark the first full blown drama series for the studio, which spent the majority of the previous slate developing half-hour comedies, ultimately leading to production on the currently series Alpha House and Betas.
The fate of Amazon Studios’ children series pilots remains unknown.
