Who’s ready to go back to Hogwarts? While Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald won’t take us into the early days of Harry Potter‘s wizarding world until later this year, Cinemark is throwing a celebration for the Potter films later this month to mark the 20th anniversary of J.K. Rowling‘s first novel in the series: Harry Potter and the Sorcererâs Stone.
Via Entertainment Weekly, every Harry Potter movie and the prequel/spin-off movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, will be screened at Cinemark theaters across the country. Cinemark has dubbed August 31 to September 6 as Wizarding World XD Week, and it will give new and returning fans the chance to once again see the entire saga on the big screen for only five dollars per movie.
While movie lovers will have the opportunity to pick and choose which Harry Potter films they want to watch, Cinemark is also offering a $25 festival pass for anyone who wants to catch all nine movies. In addition to a ticket, the festival pass includes a Harry Potter-themed keychain and cup, as well as a commemorative festival badge. Read more details in the press release.
Cinemark is currently selling advance tickets for the Wizarding World XD Week, but the full list of participating theaters isn’t live yet, so you’ll have to check back to see if it’s happening in your area. If you’re planning on attending this event, then we want to see your Harry Potter cosplay in action!
