Kevin?
KEVIN!
Yup, itâs time to throw on some our fatherâs aftershave and head out for a night at the movies, because one of our favorite childhood films is coming back for a special re-release.
In our daily reminder of how old we are all getting how great the 90s were, Home Alone will be returning to theaters for its 25th anniversary. For two nights, November 8 and 11, you can watch Kevin McAllister take on the Wet Bandits on the big screen once more. Twentieth Century Fox is teaming up with Fathom Events for the anniversary showings, and there will be a special introduction beforehand.
You may not remember, but Home Alone was an absolute mega smash hit. It was the number 1 movie for 12 weeks, and made a boatload of money. In fact, it wasnât until The Hangover Part II that another live-action comedy made more money at the box office.
Looking back, maybe it shouldnât be such a surprise Home Alone ended up becoming an instant classic. The film was directed by Chris Columbus, who directed Mrs. Doubtfire and wrote The Goonies and Gremlins, and it was written by John Hughes, whose resume is so extensive it’s impossible to list all of his hits.
If you want to find a theater showing Home Alone near you head over to FathomEvents.com  where you can also purchase tickets.
What other movie from your childhood would you like to see up on the big screen again? Give us your dream cinematic return in the comments below while we try to rig up this swinging paint can.
