Adele’s Hits Are Being Released as Lullabies

The latest demographic to clamor for Adele‘s unearthly voice: small infants. Or at least that is what the marketing team behind the Rockabye Baby! series is hedging their bets on.

On April 29, you will be able to cop Lullaby Renditions of Adele and just f**kin’ chill with your baby (or get fly with your baby if you want). The series takes extremely famous tunes (previously Fleetwood Mac, Rihanna, and Blink-182) and turns them into soothing instrumental versions comprised of xylophone, bells, and other school room instruments. Think Jimmy Fallon’s Classroom Instruments sans vocals.

Obviously the most significant part of Adele’s mystique is her superhuman vocal prowess, so an Adele rendition without her voice seems a little strange, but it totally works here. Trying to find someone to emulate her voice would have been a trap of the Kidz Bop variety for this cute little series. Instead it successfully offers a calming take on the instinctive catchiness of Adele’s best songs throughout her career. The perfect thing to lull your newborn to sleep.

For a taste, check out the lullaby version of “Rolling In The Deep” below.
