And Here’s a Teaser Poster for “Star Trek Into Darkness”

Okay, here you go, a look at the first poster for J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek Into Darkness.

I’ll leave you to the attempts to divine what this might portend. (Analyzing marketing campaigns is something I don’t need to tell you how to do) The shape of the clearing is obvious, but the destruction, the London buildings in the background, the fluttering coat/cape… we knew already that the movie’s about someone destroying the fleet and causing chaos in the universe, but more than that, you can try to figure out yourself. I suppose we’ll find out soon enough. Or you can try asking Damon Lindelof and see if he’ll tell you anything.

You’ll be able to see the first nine minutes in IMAX theaters December 14th, and the full movie hits theaters on May 17th.
