A Tasty Preview Tomorrow’s Festival Supreme in LA

Tenacious D is bringing three of their favorite things to Los Angeles tomorrow, Saturday, October 25th, 2014: Comedy, music, and spooky-scary stuff. Festival Supreme is back! It’s a day-long celebration of rocking, laughing, and screaming as only Jack Black, Kyle Gass, and a whole heap-ton of their friends can deliver. On three stages (FrankenStage, Gargoyle Stage, and The Phantom Stage) and one circus (called the Circus of Death), patrons will get to see so many performances that they’ll probably need an iv drip of adrenaline just to keep up with all of it. Beginning at 2:00pm (because morningtime rocking and laughing is weird), each of the stages will host a series of acts, any one of which would be sufficient for a festival, but not here, people!

On the Phantom Stage, you’ll see the bulk of the standing up comedy, including sets by Mary Lynn Rajskub, Jerrod Carmichael, Natasha Leggero, Kumail Nanjiani, TJ Miller, Doug Benson, Norm MacDonald, Nick Kroll, Maria Bamford, Janeane Garofalo, and live episodes of Comedy Bang! Bang! with Scott Aukerman and Drunk History. On the Gargoyle Stage, you’ll get most of your musical comedy, such as Bo Burnham, Fred Armisen, Cheech & Chong, and Tenacious D themselves, while on the Franken Stage, you’ll get performances by The Dan Band, The Kyle Gass Band, The Protomen, The Aquabats, Eagles of Death Metal, The State, Peaches, and Deathklok Metalocalypse. Boy is that a lot of awesome packed into one day!

The entrance to Festival Supreme is located at the corner of 32nd and Figueroa in Los Angeles and tickets are still on sale for this epic Halloween-themed extravaganza. More information can be found on the Festival Supreme website. Our own music maven Matt Grosinger will be at the festival for all the comings and most of the goings and will be covering it for us, so say hi to him if you see him. And get your rock horns and funny bones ready, because it’s going to be a hell of a day.
