A Shot-for-Shot STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer Remix Uses Original Trilogy Footage

It’s been a heck of a week if you’re a Star Wars fan… so it’s been a heck of a week for all of you.

What started as an initial trailer drop of the J.J. Abrams directed Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer has turned into an endless stream of parody videos, remixes and longform discussion. So, it should come as no surprise that we are still getting more excellent, fan-created content. However, today’s entry is extra special as some mastermind has re-created the new trailer shot-for-shot using nothing but original trilogy footage. Check it out:

It’s fascinating to us how endlessly adaptable the new trailer is, almost like the marketing and creative team were making sure to create something that wouldn’t just go viral for itself, but also for all the ways fans would use it to create a whole new slate of items that would, in turn, market Episode VII even further.

Regardless of the why, though, we’re just happy people across the globe continue throwing content into the space for us to enjoy. We love watching, sharing it and discussing it, so the more there is, the more we get to do that with you. Honestly, it’s one of the things we love most about the internet, so good work, everyone! Let’s do this again soon.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18th, 2015.
