A Homemade TARDIS Console Room Because Why Not

Whenever I think about how the TARDIS is bigger on the inside, I mostly think about how much room I would have for all my books and the vast amount of space available for throwing parties. I have certain priorities. One guy in Australia has priorities too and they include a whole room just for his homemade TARDIS console. The room looks like the perfect place for a shindig–Doctor Who-themed or not. This whimsical and not at all wibbly wobbly room was built by Jayman White, also known as crazyfoalrus on DeviantArt. I think the word magnificent applies here.

The room might not be TARDIS blue on the outside or be able to travel through time and space, but that’s okay. It’s basically perfect as is. White already had the hexagonal shaped room and put the entire room together in about a year. He initially made the room for a Whovian-inspired web series. White had all the timber and used spare parts from his factory job to make the controls (the parts were going to be dumped anyway). As a part-time construction worker, he had all the skills he needed to hammer together the console and add lights and electric. You can see all the whozits and whatzits on the TARDIS in the above video and drool over the entire build in a detailed thread at TARDIS Builders.

Do you think it would be cheaper to add a room onto my house and make a TARDIS console or to purchase a plane ticket to visit this one in Australia? Probably the latter. But I’m curious–would you consider transforming a room in your home into the interior of the TARDIS?
