Itâs been a few hours since our last helping of Star Wars sweetness, and in our book, thatâs a few hours too many.
So, what nerdery is here for you today from the galaxy far, far away? Well, young nerdling, how about some good old fashioned tech hacking in the form of a 3D printer thatâs been programmed to play the Imperial March? Does that sound like something worthwhile? Of course it does.
It takes a special set of skills to even use a 3D printer, so it takes an even specialer set to hack one and reprogram it to play some music. We have no choice but to give Zero Innovations a massive high force five because this is just freaking cool. Now, if they could just get to play a little Batman theme music, that would be awesome.
As it turns out, hacking tech in order to make it play music has a great tradition in geekdom, as this video of two Tesla coils playing the Ghostbusters theme shows:
With enough know-how it seems you can make technology do just about anything. Who knew non-harmful hacking could be so much fun?! Of course thereâs probably a way in which this leads to some Terminator-like scenario where the tech in question rises up to enslave us. But, until then, THEME MUSIC!
What music would you want to see a 3D printer play? Let us know in the comments below.
